2021. Based on the true story of Mohamedou Ould Slahi, a detainee at Guantanamo Bay detention camp where the 26/11 suspects were kept, it covers the fourteen year jail that Mohamedou faces without trial, including torture that makes him confess to crimes he has not committed. He wrote a book which drew attention to his plight and he was finally released in 2017 with no apology. Good performances by Jody foster, Tahar Rahim, Benedict Cumberbatch.
I admire how they show the mirror to the society through these movies - we would have always thought that they have it all covered until you realise that of the 779 detainees only eight got convicted of which three were let off after appeal. Watch.
