It will always boil down to this - It's never about the resources you have and always about how you used them. At the moment the seemingly weak resource base of the Sun Risers is getting the better of bigger teams that appear stronger on paper. The answer is rather simple - the Sun Risers are using their resources well. They are using the strengths they have in Steyn, Ishant, Amit Mishra, Perrera and White and using the local talent well.
My theory is that give the responsibility all men rise to the higher level and so they have. Young Vihari had a dream match getting Gayle out first over and then scoring a mature unbeaten 44, Ashish Reddy continued to and make a difference what with that fabulous effort to send a dangerous looking Kohli back and hitting that all-important six towards the end and Akshath played a fine knock and is looking increasingly more comfortable each outing. He will get a big one soon.
Once again good captaincy by Sangakarra, good utilisation of all resources, and a fine all round team effort. I don't think any other team is going to take Sun Risers lightly any more.
