Love and God - His Holiness Maharshi Mahesh Yogi

This is a 1969 edition of this book that I found in Aai's collection at Pune. It's written by Maharshi Mahesh Yogi and is dedicated to his guiding light His Divinity Swami Brahmananda Saraswati Maharaj Jagad-guru Shankaracharya of Jyothir Math. It carries a brief of the Guru Deva - his early life as Rajaram (b Dec 20, 1868) in village Gana near Ayodhya, how he showed an inclination to the spiritual life in his childhood, how he left home, stayed in caves in the Himalayas and in Madhya Pradesh, how he was initiated into the order of Sanyas at the age of 34 and finally was called upon to be the Shankaracharya at Badarikashramam.

The later part of the book has writings on love and god, on Transcendental Meditation, on the all embracing quality of love, how it can transform humanity and how one must not diffrentiate. One line he stresses upon - that personal love is concentrated universal love.

The second part of the book is filled with poems about love and god. Very precious book, just 53 pages in all.
