1968. Jyoti Swaroop.
Enjoyed watching the old classic and could appreciate the writing, the characters, the songs, the film much more. As with all classics it moves at a superb pace. Sunil Dutt plays Bhole who falls in love with a feisty and forward Saira Banu who dunks him in water in their first encounter. But it turns out that she is his aunt's neighbour and he pursues her with his guru Kishore Kumar and his drama company colleagues. They have to contend with Mehmood who plays Saira Banu's dance master Pillai, who is also in love with her.
Laughed a lot at the scenes like when they hide behind bushes to listen in on Saira Banu and masterji, or the crazy face-offs between Mehmood and Sunil Dutt.
