A few days ago one of the oldest houses in my colony went under. It will resurface in the form of many new flats I am sure, bigger and stronger. People will talk of square feet price, construction costs, real estate movement, investments etc.

A different kind of a shroud enveloping our colony |
But what I found most disturbing was the way they brought down the house. Most violently.

Violence! |
There was no sign of the blue tarpaulin that shrouds these sites ( lamenting the passing away of the old structure). Just hard noises and dust. I walked around and clicked a few pics. Not a nice site.

More violence!! |
Such fine dust will settle all over, inside.

Our pristine park covered in fine dust |
Cost of change.
