Visit to Landmark

Met Vinod last evening for our customary mirchi bajji and coffee drinking at Minerva Coffee Shop. We decided to check out the Sale going on at Landmark which is two buildings away. They have some really nice deals going on books and CDs.

I picked up a whole lot of R.K. Narayan's novels. 'The Financial Expert', 'A Tiger for Malgudi', 'Mr. Sampath', 'Bachelor of Arts', 'The English Teacher',  and 'Waiting for the Mahatma'. They are all a nice size, not too big and with Narayan's easy writing style, should be a nice cozy read. Also picked up 'Lateral Thinking' by Edward De Bono which looks rather formidable. And two CDs - 'Tere Bin Laden' and 'Love, Sex and Dhoka'. I was looking for Udaan but it was not available.

Picked up C.L.R.James 'Beyond A Boundary' - the highly acclaimed book on cricket - 'the best ever' they say, to read. Its great reading already.
