We were going to Ratnadeep Super Market the other evening. I told Anjali that after shopping, I'd drop her home and then go to meet my friend Ranjan.
'Why so late?' she asked.
I told her I wanted to meet him since he was scheduled for a major surgery next week and it might help to keep his mind off if I meet him for a while.
She patted my arm and nodded.
'Good Nanna,' she said. 'You're a silent helper.'
I never looked at myself like that, but it felt nice to be recognised as one. I believe that all help is best when it is silent too.
Thanks Anjali.
