1962. Marlon Brando.
Based on a real-life mutiny that occurred in 1897 when second-in-command Christian Fletcher and a band of men revolt and set adrift Captain Bligh on board the 'Bounty' which is on a mission to get breadfruit from Tahiti to the West Indies. Bligh's increasingly high handed and harsh treatment of his crew results in the mutiny and he is set adrift on a launch with some men. Bligh completes a 3500 mile journey on that launch while the mutineers facing sure death when found, hide on Tahiti islands and the lesser-known Pitcairn island. Their descendants still live on that island.
Epic stuff.
