A rewatch of one of the best comedies I have seen. Couldn't help admiring the work of these geniuses that much more this time. The touch about 'Antonioni's Park' where Sudhir and Vinod click pictures for a photo caption, was an interesting insight. I feel that the story behind the makings of great films are also great stories. If Sholay was one, so was this movie.

It's incredible to see that a movie they thought might not work (Naseeruddin Shah told Kundan Shah that he is thinking in animation - he had no faith in the film). I cannot think of how many great works have happened because the creators went past their own belief. They just did it with a constant feeling that it might not work - but it did. It is that feeling that one must cultivate to produce great art I feel.
