Hyderabad by Walk - Chatta Bazaar Kaman and Badshahi Ashoorkhana

The last Ashoorkhana for the first day was the Badshahi Ashoorkhana which required us to walk through the Chatta Bazaar area. There were huge posters of Iran's Ayatollah Khameini saying that he is the leader of all Muslims etc. Anyway, we passed by under the impressive Chatta Bazaar Kaman. it did appear to be a foot over bridge.

Further down the road was a gate leading into what could have been the Diwan Deodi of the Salar Jung's where six Prime Ministers of the Nizam's lived. Another gate showed up on the main road leading to Charminar.

Diwan Deodi gate?

This certainly was the main entrance to the Diwan deodi - big enough for an elephant to pass

We crossed a busy road and made it into the Badshahi Ashoorkhana where there were many more Alams on display due to Muharram coming up in a few days.

I have been here before but never saw so many Alams. The first day's walk ended there so I walked back to Charminar which is where I parked my car. I bought myself some puffs at Nimrah and got into my car and zoomed off.
