I think I will call this series 'Acts of Love' simply because they do touch a nice part of me. While walking to day morning I saw this watchman of a rich man's house close to my place walk across the road with a packet in his hand. He looked slightly haggard, maybe unwell a bit, burdened.
I wondered what he was up to when i saw him empty it in a plate like thing on the pavement. And a stray dog came running and stood by him, wagging it tail, grateful for the food. The watchman did not even pat it or anything but that moment when he gave it food, with all the unconditional love he had for the dog which somehow he cared for, made it so special. And to see the dog standing next to him, wagging its tail in recognition of its human friend.
By the time I could whip my phone out the moment was over and I decided to let it be. It was what it made me feel that was important for me.
And in moments like these you wonder, the dog gives as much meaning to the watchman's life as anything else. He can unconditionally care for it and it will unconditionally reciprocate it. In his giving is his receiving.
So beautiful.
