Daaji, the fourth and current spiritual guide of the global Heartfulness movement, has written this book for the evolution of our consciousness. He takes us on an inner journey of consciousness, one he calls Inventure. He says that the quintessence of nature is simplicity and purity. Spiritual Anatomy unlocks limitless potential.
The book is split into three parts, the first explaining the significance of Spiritual Anatomy and origin of the soul, the second section about the Heartfulness practices and chakras, and the third which shows the atlas to the chakras.
Through meditation one can unlock consciousness.
We get inspirations from within which change our feelings, which change our thinking which change our actions.
We can discover greater purpose and meaning in life and work toward fulfilling that potential.
Our soul is the subtlest part of our being, the part with the highest potential. The soul is supported by 16 chakras - 3 along the spine and 13 along the chest area and in the head. As we enliven the chakras, subtle bodies evolve and the ego becomes humbler, intellect transforms into wisdom, thinking evolves into feeling.
With growing awareness veils fall off.
The Spiritual Anatomy project recreates the original state of absolute peace, no entropy of emotions.
The innate craving of the world is to become one with the centre - I am the soul.
Heartfulness is a life guided by the wisdom of love. Its practices imbibe the essence of love, inspire free will.
The idea of all yogic practices is to make the mind resonate with the stillness of the soul. That's why we become whole, centred.
Heartfulness recommends cleaning every evening for 20-25 minutes, prayer, yogic transmission (installation of divine energy for the transformation of a human being) - a practice which was rediscovered by Ram Chandra of Fatehgarh in 1873.
The secret ingredient for heartfulness is the attitude with which we approach life. Cultivate three beneficial attitudes - a sense of urgency (what's the most important thing to do now), humility (sublimated state of ego, self awareness, humility attracts grace, creates low pressure) and liveliness (become livelier, open).
Demystifying Chakras - which are energy centres - in three forms such as knots, chakras and lotuus. Each chakra contains all five elements. Of the 1 chakras, 1-5 are heart chakras, 6-12 are in the Mind Region and 13 is Central Region.
In deep meditation one can evolve from one state to another.
The four stages of chakra flowering are Coexistence, Nearness, Identicality and Merger. Merger begets tenderness of the heart, creates love and love dissolves the ego.
To clear the blocks for chakra blossoming we must get rid of our emotional conditioning, our samskaras. Our likes and dislikes hijack our consciousness. When something triggers our likes and dislikes we get stuck in the moment. Attachment and resistance cause samskaras. Unresolved emotional blocks lead to samskaras to patterns.
Desire is energy created by lack. It can be transformed by attaching it to something higher - higher values or goals. A Wish leads to Desire leads to Expectations leads to Demands leads to Rights.
To avoid guilt do your best with all sincerity.
When we react to something we like or dislike we are at Point C, our desires about possessions, power, status take us to Point A, sesnual likes and dislikes like sex leads to Point B and guilt leads to Point D.
To change programming, clean samskaras, do Heaartfulness Cleaning. Our Heart chakra is connected to all chakras.
Opposites characterise our world - clarity vs discontentment, courage vs disturbance, compassion vs displeasure, calm vs discouragement, contentment vs delusion - the 5Cs and 5Ds. Generosity of the heart is about accepting differences. When life flows naturally, our heart just observes.
The character of the 16 chakras are
1st Chakra - Acceptance
2nd Chakra - Peace
3rd Chakra - Love
4th Chakra - Courage
5th Chakra - Clarity
After transcending the five chakras, the earthly opposites of the 5Cs and the 5Ds, and having liberated ourselves from samskaras, we have one pair of opposites - Soul vs Source. We access the Mind Region.
6th Chakra - Selflessness
7th Chakra - Stillness
8th Chakra - Surrender
9th Chakra - Insignificance
10th Chakra - Belongingness
11th Chakra - Restfulness
12th Chakra - Setllesness
And then we access the Central Region
13th Chakra - Nothingness
...
It has such an accessible tone and content that one can actually practice some of the practices in one way or another. Lots of little stories, references to books, movies, characters - its like talking to a friend who has had a nice experience and is inviting you to share it.
