Thought for the Day - Disappointment is Slow Poison

I realise I get easily disappointed. With myself and with the world.

I also realised that it is a useless emotion. It is slow poison. It eats into your joy.

No use getting disappointed. Move on. Drop disappointment for life.

Disappointment and dejection as something that adults and kids have to deal with, as long as we are active and participating.

My mantra is after letting the feeling of disappointment wash over you - become determined, make a decision, and then deal with it.

If a tennis match is lost - think about a couple of shots that are weak and go practice.
If a job offer is missed - think about a new approach or a new market to attack and go for it.

So disappointment can be the spur for bigger future successes.

Just a thought.

Thanks Anon. Agreed. I was referring to the disappointment that washes over and stays there..or perhaps kept there by the person to stay inactive. That I feel is slow poison.

Try. Fail. Feel the pain. Deal with it. Decide course of action. Work. Come back stronger. :)
