The Jaisimha Cricket Academy supports about 15 talented cricketers free of cost - an initiative that kicked off last year thanks to their sponsors MPL Steel. Ever since they have started their training I have been meaning to conduct a small workshop for them - which would help them prepare better for a career in life and cricket. We finally got it going on the 7th of June, 2025.

The boys were ready by 930 and we started off on time. I explained to them that the same principles apply both in cricket and in their careers. most of them said they wanted to become test cricketers while some had other goals as well.
We addressed concepts like learning mindset, preparation, feedback, monitoring, assessing strengths and weaknesses, effort, deliberate practice to become an expert and goal setting. Too many concepts packed into 3 hours but they somehow got the idea that one needs to prioritise and put purposeful, deliberate and focused effort to get desired results.
Rummy organised the workshop and Vidyuth came by when we were closing. Sanjay organised lunch.
